2010 Jeep Commander

Overview
The Commander is Jeep’s full-size SUV and the first Jeep with 7-passenger seating. Wrapped in an exterior package that looks remarkably like the original Jeep Cherokee, the Commander is two inches longer than the Grand Cherokee but shares the same wheelbase. Characterized by an upright windshield, vertical back glass and straight sides, the Commander’s shape is very square and is capped off with the signature Jeep seven-slot grille. Inside, the Commander offers stadium seating, a stepped roof for adequate headroom and Command-View skylights for additional interior lighting. Also a two-tone instrument panel with four round gauges is unique to the Commander. For 2007 Jeep changed the base Commander name to Commander Sport and added the Overland version to the lineup.
The 2009 Jeep Commander adds a new available 5.7-Liter HEMI V8 that produces 357 horsepower and 389 lb-ft of torque with better fuel economy and improved idle quality and overall refinement than the previous engine. HID headlights with auto-leveling are standard on Overland and optional on Limited. New wheels include 17-inch aluminum machined-faced wheels with painted pockets standard on Sport, 17-inch five-spoke machined-faced aluminum with painted pockets standard on Limited and 18-inch seven-spoke aluminum-clad wheels standard on Overland.
The 2010 Jeep Commander features the 357-horsepower 5.7-liter HEMI V8 as standard for the Limited and optional for Sport. Standard equipment for Limited now includes power liftgate, body-color mirrors, rear exterior chromed assist handles and body-color fender flares with chromed styled bolt heads. Chromed body-side moldings are standard for all trim levels, Inferno Red Crystal Pearl is a new exterior color and 18-inch chrome-clad forged aluminum wheels are available on Limited.
