2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Overview
The Grand Cherokee is Jeep’s premium midsize SUV and the flagship of the Jeep brand, aimed at the upscale sport-utility buyer. It was introduced in 1992, and in 1993 became the first in its class to offer a V8 engine. In 1999, the Grand Cherokee was redesigned for the first time in its history. The all-new third-generation Grand Cherokee debuted for the 2005 model year.
The 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee is available with a new 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine that includes fuel-saving Multi-Displacement System technology that alternates between 4-cylinder mode when less power is needed and V8 mode when more power is needed. 
The new 5.7-liter HEMI is rated at 357 horsepower and 389 lb-ft of torque. Also new for 2009 Grand Cherokee Limited and Overland trim levels is a Leather Appearance Group that includes leather trim for the front-door bolsters, front-door armrests, center console armrest, instrument panel shroud and shift knob. The 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 receives the Performance Pages reconfigurable display to display performance data and the leather interior is updated to include leather trim on the upper and lower door bolsters and the instrument panel cluster shroud.
The 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee continues essentially unchanged from the previous model year. The Overland trim is discontinued.
